5th Transnational Meeting at Comenius University, Bratislava – May 2024

The “FERTILE” consortium organised the 5th Transnational Project Meeting at the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. Precisely at the Department of Education – Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, on May 23rd and 24th, 2024.

It was a critical meeting for the project’s culmination since it was conducted shortly after three project results (R1. the “FERTILE” design methodology, R2. the “FERTILE” community platform and R3. the “FERTILE” training material) were utilised in pilot studies. The partners had to consider the pilot studies’ findings to organise the remaining tasks. Specifically, the agenda of that final face-to-face project meeting addressed:

  • the findings regarding the “FERTILE” design methodology’s evaluation in the pilot studies. The partners considered the implications of the findings regarding the methodology’s final version to be used during the forthcoming “FERTILE” training. Also, decisions and arrangements were made to produce the relevant Milestone “M1.4: M1.4 Evaluation report of the FERTILE methodology’s application”.
  • the feedback given in the pilot studies regarding the “FERTILE” community platform. The partners considered the implications deriving from the participants’ experience to deal with malfunctions and enrich the platform’s affordances. Also, decisions and arrangements were made to produce the relevant Milestone “M2.3: Evaluation report of the FERTILE Community platform in the pilot studies”.
  • the findings regarding the evaluation of the “FERTILE” training material in the pilot studies. The partners considered the participants’ suggestions for improving and enriching the materials to produce their final version during the forthcoming “FERTILE” training. Also, decisions and arrangements were made to deliver the relevant Milestone “M3.2: Evaluation report of the FERTILE training materials”.
  • the feedback about the pilot studies’ organisation. The partners considered the participants’ perceptions to spot what best practices to follow in organising the forthcoming “FERTILE” training. Also, decisions and arrangements were made to produce the relevant Milestone “M4.1: Pilot studies’ evaluation”.

Given that the project tasks addressed in that meeting spanned all project results, the participants were several researchers involved in project work. The consortium deemed face-to-face participation critical to ensure adequate collaboration and collective efforts for the project results’ accomplishment.
