The “FERTILE” training in Spain organised by the University Rey Juan Carlos!
The training event was organised in three sessions:
- Face-to-face session for 6 hours, held on Wed 8 Jan 2025 at the Fuenlabrada School of Engineering .
- Synchronous online session for 1 hour, held on Fri 10 Jan 2025.
The training material was devided into four modules: Computational Thinking, Interdisciplinarity, FERTILE methodology and Blended Learning.
110 educators and advisors from regional Communidad de Madrid, participated in the training event.
The participants are in charge of helping and teaching the entire primary and secondary education population in the Madrid region about technological topics. The trainees designed many education projects using the FERTILE methodology and the FERTILE Community Platform. All of them explore the combination of Educational Robotics and Arts to foster Computational Thinking skills, at all educational levels (from early childhood to primary and secondary education). They also explored the training materials created at the FERTILE project.
