On January 27th, 2023, the UniWA team visited the project’s associated partner: “Primary school St Dionysios of the Leonteios group of schools”, and attended an Educational Robotics class. On this visit, the UniWA team was accompanied by: (i) Prof Cleo Fanouraki, a distinguished professor of Theatrical studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, (ii) Nikos Kladis, a student following postgraduate theatrical studies, and (iii) Nikos Govas, a member of the scientific/non-profit organisation “Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network”.
After attending the robotics class, during the discussion that followed, design ideas synthesising theatre and educational robotics were explored. This fruitful discussion established a collaboration between the UniWA team and the theatre experts mentioned above.
