The “FERTILE” training in Greece organised by the University of Western Attica!
The training event had five phases:
- Face-to-face session for 3 hours, held on Sat 9 Nov 2024.
- Asynchronous activities for 5 hours, held from Sat 10 till Fri 22 Nov 2024.
- Synchronous online session for 3 hours, held on Sat 23 Nov 2024.
- Asynchronous activities for 5 hours, held from Sat 24 Nov till Fri 11 Dec 2024.
- Synchronous online session for 3 hours, held on Sat 12 Dec 2024.
Its primary scope was to empower educators to design interdisciplinary projects that combine Educational Robotics and Arts, aiming to cultivate students’ Computational Thinking skills in a blended learning context.
49 Greek educators from all educational levels, originating from either ER or Arts disciplines, participated in the training event.
The trainers were:
- Sissy Papanikolaou, Professor of Educational Technology, School of Pedagogical and Technological Education.
- Cleo Fanouraki, Professor in Theater Studies, National University of Athens.
- Maria Tzelepi, Adjacent lecturer in Educational Robotics, University of West Attica.
- Eleni Zalavra, PhD candidate in the research area of Learning Design, University of West Attica.
- Nafsika Pappa, PhD candidate in the research area of Computational Thinking, University of West Attica.
We thank all participants for their enthusiastic participation in exploring the “FERTILE” initiative for interdisciplinarity in Educational Robotics and Art towards cultivating Computational Thinking skills.
