Three “FERTILE” trainings in the Czech Republic organised by the Charles University
The Czech research team opted to organise three training events to accommodate the needs of Czech educators.
The 1st and 2nd training events followed the same agenda:
- Face-to-face session on the premises of Charles University. Held for 3 hours on September 19 at the 1st event and on October 9th at the 2nd event. It included an introduction to the FERTILE project, a workshop on computational thinking and an introduction to the interdisciplinary approach to Educational Robotics and Arts.
- Face-to-face session on the premises of Charles University. Held for 3 hours on September 26th at the 1st event and on October 16th at the 2nd event. It focused on introducing the “FERTILE” design methodology and developing an Artful ER project in the “FERTILE” community platform.
- Online session for 1 hour. Held on October 10th at the 1st event and on November 13th at the 2nd event. It focused on the analysis of the projects developed and their evaluation.
Between these sessions, participants were involved in asynchronous activities using training material. Also, they collaborated in the FERTILE community platform to develop their projects.
The 3rd event was organised with educators from the associated school Elementary School Hanspaulka As these educators were already familiar with the “FERTILE” initiative, their training was shorter. Over a face-to-face session lasting 6 hours on December 17th. 2024, they were updated on the final versions of the project results. After reviewing the final versions of the “FERTILE” design methodology, community platform, and training materials, they codesigned Artful ER projects.
24 Czech educators from primary and secondary education, participated in the 1st and 2nd training event.
16 Czech educators from Elementary School Hanspaulka participated in the 3rd training event.
